This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of an engagement, why we hold it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the services we provide through it.

Information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you and to do the work. That is:
- Details you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company name, the jurisdictions you operate in, and whatever you tell us about your business when you use the enquiry form, book a consultation, or email us.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe through the footer, your email address and the fact that you subscribed.
- Engagement records. Once you become a client, the information required to deliver the service: company documents, financial records, filings, identification documents, and correspondence.
- Identity and anti-money-laundering checks. Where we are required to verify who we are acting for, the identification and ownership information needed to satisfy those obligations.
- Technical information. Standard server and analytics data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring page.
We do not ask for special category data, and you should not send it to us unprompted. If a filing genuinely requires it, we will tell you why.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
- To provide the services agreed in your engagement letter.
- To make filings and submissions on your behalf with registries, tax authorities, and other bodies in the relevant jurisdiction.
- To meet our own legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping, anti-money-laundering, and tax reporting requirements.
- To send the monthly newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To maintain and improve this website and keep it secure.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Our legal bases for using it
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following bases. Which one applies depends on what the information is for.
- Contract. Where we need the information to provide the services you have engaged us for, or to take steps before entering an engagement.
- Legal obligation. Where we are required to collect or retain it, such as anti-money-laundering checks and statutory record retention.
- Legitimate interests. To respond to enquiries, run and secure this website, and manage our client relationships, where doing so does not override your rights.
- Consent. For the newsletter and any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
International transfers
We operate across the United States, the United Kingdom, and the GCC, so your information may be transferred between those regions in the course of an engagement. Data protection law differs between them.
Where information covered by UK or EU law is transferred outside those jurisdictions, we rely on an approved transfer mechanism: an adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses together with the UK Addendum, along with any additional safeguards the transfer calls for. You can ask us which mechanism applies to a particular transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as we are required to keep it.
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: one year from your last contact with us.
- Client and engagement records: one year after the engagement ends, reflecting the statutory retention rules in each jurisdiction we filed in.
- Anti-money-laundering records: for the period the applicable regulations require, currently one year.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Some of these rights have limits. We cannot delete records we are legally required to keep, for instance, and we may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.
To make a request, email info@globalxadvisors.com. We will respond within the period the applicable law allows, and within one month where UK or EU law applies.
If you are in the UK and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
How we protect it
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and secure storage for the documents and financial records we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it to do the work.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent to us over the internet is safe in transit. Please do not email sensitive identification documents unprompted. We will tell you how to send them securely.
Children
This website and our services are for businesses and the people who run them. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
